MOURNING BELOVETH Prepare To Enter Studio
October 1, 2004Irish doom/death metal band MOURNING BELOVETH have posted the following message on their official web site:
"We have been busy putting the finishing touches to the songs for the as-yet-untitled third album. The album will probably contain only 5 songs, including a re-recording of 'Part 1' and should be about 60 minutes long. All we can tell so far is that this album is a slight change from our previous albums and in fact we have one or two extra songs to record in these sessions, which we felt just don't suit the mood of this album. They will probably appear on limited 12"'s in the near future. As for the new songs, they are keeping in the vein of 'Part 1' with a lot more diversity in the songs this time round, from soft acoustic passages to bone crushing doom. This will probably be the bleakest record we have recorded and the most experimental but don't worry we haven't wimped out just yet. Two of the songs work as one, namely 'Nothing' and '…Yet Everything' which combine to about 30 minutes of music and there are a few surprises along the way. So don't expect an easy listen, this album as a whole will have to be absorbed for when you combine the artwork, lyrics and music the whole picture will become clear. We are expecting a March release with a tour to follow."
As previously reported, MOURNING BELOVETH are expected to enter Studio E in Germany in October to begin recording the new effort. The album will be issued through Grau Records, a subsidiary of Prophecy Productions.
